Mrs. Julia Leslie Packard, aged eight three years and eleven months, died Wednesday morning at 2:50 o'clock, cause of death being old age. She had been in failing health since July, and since the middle of September had been confined to her bed. She came to Wisconsin in 1876, locating with her husband at Dorchester, Clark County nearly fifty years ago. Later they moved onto a farm north of Curtiss, where they resided until the death of her husband, after which she and her daughter, Miss Marion Gwinn, moved to Curtiss, where the balance of her life was spent.. At this time it is planned to hold the funeral services from the Congregational Church in Curtiss, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. W. P. Powell officiating. Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, one mile north of the village of Curtiss.

Julia Leslie was born at Haverhill, N. H., Jan. 22, 1842 and died at Curtiss, Clark County, Wis. Dec. 23, 1925.

She was twice married, July 3, 1863 to A. A. Gwinn, who died Feb. 1, 1866, and May 30, 1876 to Jonas F. Packard, who died June 12, 1915.

She is survived by two daughters by her first marriage, Marion and Allannette, and three children by the second marriage, Eleanor, Earle and Daisy.

Mrs. Packard has lived in and around Curtiss for about fifty years, and with her husband has been very much interested in Christian work. In the earlier days they were instrumental to organizing four Sunday schools. She was also a life long members of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, taking an active part in the work as long as her health permitted.

Mrs. Packard was buried from the Congregational Church, Curtiss, Saturday, Dec. the 26ths, with interment in Pine Hill Cemetery.
