Obit: Bredlau, Hilda A. (1909 - 2003)
Wednesday, November 19, 2003 edition of the Tribune - Record - Gleaner Hilda Bredlau Hilda A. Bredlau, 94, Neillsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at Memorial Home, Neillsville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 14, at United Church of Christ, Neillsville. The Rev. James Mohr officiated. Music was provided by Ertz Steiger, soloist, and Eileen Zank, organist. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scott Wucherpfenning, Jim Bredlau, Dean Bredlau, Lee Bredlau, Todd Bredlau, Kevin Lezotte, and Steve kadolph. Hilda A. Haslow was born Aug. 11, 1909, in the Town of Sherman, to Gustav and Bertha (nee Scheel) Haslow. She attended Catlin School, Loyal. When she was 13, following the death of her mother, she kept house and farmed until her marriage. She married George Bredlau on June 3, 1931, in Withee. She and her husband farmed in Loyal, Lynn, and Neillsville. In 1982, she moved to Concern Apartments, Neillsville. In 1998, she moved to Touch of Home, Marshfield, and in March, 1999, to Memorial Home, Neillsville. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. Survivors include three daughters, Eileen (Walter) Wucherpfenning, Marshfield, Carol Wedekind, Neillsville, and Marion Kadolph, Withee; one son, Alfred (Sue) Bredlau, Neillsville; one son-in-law, Alvin (Yvonne) Lezotte, Merrill; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Walter Bredlau; and one sister-in-law, Virginia Haslow. Preceding her in death were her husband in July, 1983; one daughter, Norma Lezotte, in 1961; three sons-in-law, Melchior Hoesly, Ray Wedekind, and Larry Kadolph; four great-grandchildren; three sisters; and six brothers. Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
