Thorp Courier – Rev. Paul Hull has purchased the A. W. Fear farm lying west of Eidsvold from Dr. McCutcheon who purchased the same some weeks ago from Mr. Fear.

Jos. Kleckner, who has been at Dawson, Alaska for the past two years, returned here on Tuesday. The event is being celebrated at the home of his brother, Fred, north of town.

A. O. Rhea threshed the product from ten acres of grain on Tuesday, with the following result: Three acres of oats produced 200 bushels; seven acres of rye, 268 bushels, machine measure. The quality is also the best.

Clark Co. Chronicle – A plate of as fine apples as can be raised anywhere, is on exhibition at the Chronicle office. They were raised by C. T. Haskins, of the town of Beaver, and show that apples and fine ones, can be raised in this locality if one cares to give the trees the necessary attention, but like anything else, it requires a knowledge of the necessities of the tree and as good care as any other crop receives to grow them here. Mr. Haskins has some very fine ones this eyar. There are lots of apples in Clark county this season, there being not less than twenty small orchards on the road between this place and the county seat, all of them loaded with this desirable fruit-something very unusual, but demonstrating that fruit-raising is possible.

Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Spengler, of Duluth, Minn., arrived here last Saturday ngiht for a visit of a few days. Mr. S. returned home Tuesday morning but his wife remains for an indefinite visit with her mother, Mrs. D. J. Fullmer, at her old home.
