Obit: Bargander, Andrew Frank (1909 - 1993)
Andrew Frank Bargander, 84, Loyal, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1993, at Marshfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, 1993, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Rueth, Ralph Rueth, Kenny Weigel, Dennis Bargander, David Gleichsner and Billy Greisbach. Andrew Frank Bargander was born June 13, 1909, in the township of Frankfort, Marathon County, to August and Rose [nee Bach] Bargander. He received his education at Smith School in the township of Frankfort. He farmed on his parents farm after graduating from school. He went to work for Weyerhauser in 1941 as a millwright and retired in 1973 after 32 years with the company. He married Agnes Rueth on April 17, 1972, in Marshfield. She survives. They lived in Marshfield until 1974 at which time they moved to Loyal. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; one step-daughter, Jayne [LaVerne] Koleck, Marshfield; three step-sons, Bernard [Margie] Rueth, Loyal; Eddie [Florence] Rueth, Loyal; and Herb [Kap] Rueth, Parma, Idaho; 37 step-grandchildren; 45 step-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Rose Hoff, Athens; Dora Greisbach, Rozelleville; Clara Weigl, Hilda Baumann and Olive Schuh, all of Marshfield; and one brother, David of Marshfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary Weigl and Agnes King; and one brother, Isadore; one step-daughter, Mary Ann Gleichsner; and one step-son Patrick Rueth.
