The Clark County Press: Mrs. Will Benedict, who has been sick for some time, passed away at her home January 10, at 2:30 p.m. Susanna Davis was born at Rosendale October 27, 1883. She was the daughter of Jeremiah and Mary Davis, when 16 she came with her parents to the town of York, where she made her home. On May 6, 1903, she was united in marriage to William Benedict. They operated a store at York Center for 16 years, then moved onto the farm where they resided until her death. She leaves her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Lulu) Kronberger and Mrs. Frank (Neva) Lulloff; and two sons, Nyle and Morvin. An infant daughter, Marie, preceded her in death on January 12, 1920. She also is survived by 14 grandchildren, a sister and five brothers. She was a member of the York Center Methodist church.

The Loyal Tribune: Mrs. William Benedict, 64, died at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, Jan. 10, at her home in the town of York, following a long illness. Funeral services were conducted last Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 at the Benedict home and at 2 o'clock in the York Center Methodist church, the Rev. Lee H. Holmes officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were six grandsons: Ivan Kronberger, Wayne Kronberger, Robert Prior, Geoge Pabich Jr., Robert Lulloff and William Lulloff. The flower girls were Arlene Peterson, Donna Lulloff, Irene Matthews, Georgia Benedict, and Verjean Kronberger. Mrs. Benedict, the former Susanna Davis, was born at Rosendale on Oct. 27, 1883. She was married here on May 6, 1903, to William Benedict and has been a resident of the Loyal vicinity the past 27 years. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Lulu) Kronberger of route four, Neillsville and Mrs. Frank (Neva) Lulloff of Loyal; two sons, Nyle Benedict of route four, Neillsville, and Morvin Benedict of route two, Loyal; a sister, Mrs. J.F. Mortimer of Neillsville; four brothers, David Davis of Watertown, Merton Davis of Granton, Jay Davis of St. Paul and Jess of Willmar, Minn., and 14 grandchildren. A daughter, Marie, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Hales, preceded her in death. The Tribune extends to the survivors its sympathy in their loss.
