I have a collection of what appears to be the 1906 Loyal High School Graduates. The mat is inscribed, "1906 Loyal High School". There are 10 portraits of individuals on the mat, 2 of them men and 8 women. I found this group photo in an Antique Store in Portage, WI. The image below is a flatbed scanner image of the piece greatly reduced in size and focus. I could not get the photo bed of the entire mat close enough to the scanner table to do much better without risking damage to the piece. However, I think this will give you a general idea of what I have. The actual dimension of the entire mat are, 14"s vertical, and 11"s horizontal. The photo bed is 7.5"s x 9"s and each individual, oval, portrait is 1.5"s x 2"s with the center one being a little larger. May have been the Valedictorian. What you see here is primarily the photo bed with a little mat border around it, but the real border of the mat extends much farther, as you can tell by the dimensions I have included in my description. I am looking for some information regarding the graduating class of 1906 in Loyal that may help me to authenticate it's origins. Any help would be much appreciated.
