Tuesday, 28 Oct. 2008 ----Norks, Frances A. (8 Aug. 1930 – 26 Oct. 2008) THORP -- Frances A. Norks, 78, of Greenwood died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Just Like Home, in Colby. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary service, Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Thorp Funeral Home and again from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. ----Source: Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wood County, Wis.) Wednesday, 29 Oct. 2008 GREENWOOD -- Frances A. Norks, 78, of Greenwood, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Just Like Home in Colby surrounded by her husband and family. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Thorp. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary service, today at the Thorp Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. She was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Thorp to Paul and Anna (Posda) Depa. She married Mike Norks on June 27, 1953, in Chicago. The couple made their home at the Norks' family farm in Greenwood. Surviving are her husband, Mike of Greenwood; children, Nancy (Milton) Cox, Olalla, Wash., Barbara Kaltenbach, Elk Grove, Ill., Sharon (Jeff) Wertepny, Des Plaines, Ill., Karen Connolly, McHenry, Ill., Darlene "Cha" Arndt, Tacoma, Wash., Marlene "Tina" (Dave) Simmons, Chippewa Falls, and Michael Norks, Greenwood; and 18 grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Marcella (Ted) Kazubowski, Thorp, Juliana Wiklanski, Petoskey, Mich., Helen (Walter) Filipek, Niles, Ill., Pauline Andronowitz, Huntington, Conn., Louis (Bernice) Depa, Thorp, Anton (Joanne) Depa, Kenosha, Peter (Alvina) Depa, Stanley, John (Marie) Depa, Niles, Ill., and Joseph (Joan) Depa, St. John, Ind.
