----Brehm, Patricia (Marriage – 18 Apr. 1959)

Miss Patricia Brehm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Brehm of Colby, Route 1, and Jerome Heckel, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Heckel of Marshfield, Route 3, were united in marriage Saturday, April 18, in Our Lady of Peace Catholic church at Marshfield by Rev. Walter Dillenburg.

As the bride was given in marriage by her father, she wore a waltz-length gown of white chiffon over taffeta. The fitted bodice had a modified scoop neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. Self trim decorated the neckline and was repeated in the skirt. Her veil of silk illusion was held by a lace cap decorated with pearls and sequins. She carried a prayer book and a cascade arrangement of pink sweetheart roses and white Swansona.

Miss Dorothy Sazama of Madison was maid of honor and Miss Janice Grauman of Colby was bridesmaid. They wore waltz-length dresses of light blue chiffon in princess style and carried baskets of white pompons and blue daisies.

Harry Heckel of Marshfield, Route 3, was best man and Gerald Brehm of Colby, Route 1, was groomsman. Barney Nelles and Donald Ledger of Marshfield ushered.

Following the ceremony a dinner was held for the immediate families and a reception and buffet luncheon were held later.

The bride attended Colby High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing and has been employed at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay. Mr. Heckel attended Columbus High School and is serving in the U.S. Army.
