----Masek, Leola Mrs. (Marriage – 26 Dec. 1959)

Mrs. Leola Masek, 1047 Dousman St., Green Bay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tucker of Deerbrook, Wis., and Raymond E. Mehlberg, 232 9th Ave. So., South St. Paul, Minn., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mehlberg of Colby, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, Dec. 26th, at the St. John’s Lutheran church at Marion, Wis., Rev. F. R. Ohlrogger of Marion officiating at the double-ring ceremony. Eugene Fisher, cousin of the groom, sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “O Promise Me.” The altar was decorated with Christmas trees and poinsettias.

The bride was attended by her daughter, Mrs. Gary (Joan) Chollett of Green Bay and Mrs. Victor (Laverne) Sell of Clintonville, cousin of the groom. The groom’s attendants were his cousins, Victor Sell of Clintonville and James R. Masek of Dearbrook, son the bride.

The bride wore a cocktail dress of ice blue embossed taffeta with a hat of blue sequins and seed pearls with shoes to match. She wore a blue rhinestone jewelry set, a gift of the groom. Her shoulder corsage consisted of pink roses and seed pearls. The bridesmaids were dressed in ice blue cocktail dresses of silk organza over taffeta with shoes to match, white feather hats and short white gloves. Their pearl earrings and necklaces were gifts of the bride. Their corsages consisted of yellow roses and pink roses respectively.

A reception and buffet supper, followed by dancing in the evening, was held at Tigerton, Wis., for 150 guests. After a short trip, destination unknown, they will be at home in So. St. Paul, Minn., where the groom is employed by John Penn Warehouses.

Prior to his employment in South St. Paul, the groom was employed at Green Bay at the Empire Industrial, owned by Jerry Firnstahl, formerly of Colby. The groom attended Colby Grade and Colby High School and one year in college.
