Virgil Kaiser returned home from the Marshfield hospital.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Strathman at the Marshfield hospital February 2.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schwierske and Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Tesmer returned from a 12-day trip to Florida.

George Kobs was taken, by ambulance, to the Marshfield hospital where he is being treated for pneumonia.

A daughter was born on February 2 to Dr. and Mrs. D. O. Wiersig of College Park, Md., former Colby residents.

Mrs. Pauline Justman and Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Martens spent Tuesday afternoon and evening at Abbotsford with Mrs. Anna Orth.

Mr. and Mrs. Byron Olson left last Thursday on a four-day trip to New York City which they won by increasing Ford tractor sales.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Franz left Sunday for Annapolis, Maryland, where they will visit their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Meese, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Anderson of Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Wilde Jr. spent the week-end at Glidden ice fishing and report a lucky angler from Duluth pulled in a 10 lb. 31 in. walleye.

Al Quamme, former operator of the IGA store in Colby, left for Stevens Point where he has accepted a position as one of the buyers at the IGA store. Mrs. Quamme and children will be in Abbotsford until the end of the school term.

Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Flink visited at the Herman Schwantes home over the week-end. Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Schwantes and the Flinks attended a wedding of a nephew, Jerold Kock, and Elizabeth Fleischman at Westboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nagel and Mrs. Paul Schmitt attended the funeral of a brother-in-law, Wm. Mehring, at Sheboygan last Thursday. Others from Colby who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nagel and Janice and Mrs. Wilbur Schmitt and Gayle.
