Becker, 80, formerly of Marshfield, died at 3:07 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at Continental Manor in Abbotsford where she was a resident since August 1982. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home with the Rev. James J. Logan, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday, both at the funeral home. Gertrude was born July 17, 1921, in Spencer to Anton and Mary Frank. She married Harold J. Becker on Oct. 26, 1940, in Spencer. She attended St. John’s Parochial School in Marshfield. Mrs. Becker had been employed at Roddis Plywood Corporation for several years. She lived with the disease Multiple Sclerosis for 35 years. She had a very creative personality and an unforgettable smile, so unique no one quite knew what she was up to. *** Note: The rest of the article was cut off and was not available at the time of transcription.
