Surnames: DeLong, Brown, Hutchins, Cornwell, Skangstad, Warner, Larson, Granskau, Tornrose, Cook, Bailey, Baxter, Kelicher, Norton ----Source: Greenwood Gleaner (Greenwood, Clark County, Wis.) 20 Apr. 1900 Eidsvold Ora DeLong is building a residence on his land-just north of town. Mrs. R. B. Brown of Reseberg spent last week with relatives at this place. The infant daughter of Len Hutchins and wife died on Wednesday and was buried on Thursday of last week. L. M. Cornwell sold his team to Chris Skangstad last week. Marvin and Charles Warner have returned to Broederville. Lars Larson has purchased the M. Larson place and is building a neat residence thereon. Rev. John Granskau held services at the residence of Charles Tornrose, Sunday. The S. L. Sunday School recently presented its superintendent, Chas. Eng, with a handsome center table. Miss Mabel Cook has returned to her home near Unity. The Easter edition of the Stanley Republican is the best thing of the kind your correspondent ever had the pleasure of seeing. Had not several business men; three church societies and one manufacturing plant been omitted from its make up, it would have been considered a priceless souvenir by the inhabitants of this world. Geo. W. Bailey has opened a harness shop in one of S. S. Warner's buildings on Skandinvavian street, where he is prepared to do all kinds of harness and shoe repairing. Henry Baxter has resigned his position as lath sawyer in the mill, and in company with Will Smith and James Kelieher, started for the drive on Yellow river on Monday. He is succeeded in the mill by George Norton.
