Heintz, Max (3 Mar. 1877 – 5 Dec. 1962)

Max Heintz died last week Wednesday evening at the Leahy Nursing home in Abbotsford at the age of 85 years. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Rev. Carl Serr officiating, and internment was made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pall bearers were John E. Lindsay, Frank Goeltz, Sr., Frank Goeltz, Jr., Stewart Salter, Earl Salter, Ed Grauman.

Mr. Heintz was born in Fond du Lac on March 3, 1877, and was married in Marshfield on June 7, 1938, to Mrs. Minnie Kattre who died in October, 1960. He was employed in lumber mills most of his life and lived in the Cherokee area the past 30 years. He was a member of the Colby Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews and two step sons, Gilbert and Elroy Kattre.

Attending the funeral from out-of town were LaVern Cutts of Christie, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Cornell, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Cornell, Jr., Mrs. Lester Kattre of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Kattre of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kattre, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kalepp, Sr., William Kalepp, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schilling, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Provinski, Al Goldamer, Miss Laura Olson of Abbotsford, Mrs. Edward Feit of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Pribnow of Loyal.
