Mittelstadt, Marion Joyce (Marriage – 14 Oct. 1943)

Miss Marion Joyce Mittelstadt, daughter of Mrs. Eli Mittelstadt of Abbotsford and Nicholas R. Belling, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas A. Belling of Fort Wayne, Indiana, were married at 9:00 o’clock Thursday morning, Oct. 14, in St. Patrick’s Catholic church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. D. Lawrence Monahan officiating. Neil Thompson, organist, played “The Rosary,” “Ave Maria” and “O Lord Make Me Worthy,” before the single ring ceremony. Vases of yellow chrysanthemums decorated the altar.

The bride was becomingly attired in a soft dressmaker type suit of forest green with which she wore russet color hat and footwear. Talisman roses and rust baby mums were combined in her shoulder corsage and her only jewelry was a silver and amber bracelet, the gift of the bridegroom.

Miss Gerber wore brown wool with russet accessories and yellow baby mums. The mothers of both bride and bridegroom wore dark ensembles and corsages of pink baby mums.

The couple left immediately for a short wedding trip south, after which they will be at home at 2822 South Oliver street, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Belling is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and the bridegroom was graduated from South Side high school and International business college. Both Mr. and Mrs. Belling are employed in the offices of the Fruehauf Trailer company in Fort Wayne.
