BioM: Karpinski, Eleanor J. (1952) Surnames: Karpinski, Hull, Frinack, Wilczek Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 12/04/1952 Karpinski, Eleanor J. (23 NOV 1952) St. Hedwig’s Church in Thorp was the setting Sunday morning, Nov. 23rd, 1952, for the wedding of Miss Eleanor Josephine Karpinski, daughter of Mrs. Mary Karpinski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and David Lee Hull. Father Francis Piekarski performed the ten o’clock ceremony. The altar was decorated with palms and bouquets of the season’s flowers. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace D. Hull of Owen. The church choir sang during the services. The bride, escorted down the white carpeted aisle by her grandfather, Mrs. Steve Wilczek, wore a floor length gown of imported Chantilly lace, ripple pleated with nylon tulle underscored with a gleam of Burmil satin. Her fingertip veil of nylon net with silver leaf pattern, was fastened to a pearl tiara. The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies and white roses. Miss Dorothy Karpinski was her sister’s maid of honor and Helen Koltis served as bridesmaid. Miss Karpinksi wore an American Beauty colored ballerina length gown made of net over taffeta with a pleated front panel. Miss Koltis wore an identical gown only in teal blue. July Hull, niece of the bridegroom, dressed identical to the bride, was flower girl. The bridal aides each carried a colonial bouquet of yellow mums and red roses. Marion Karpinski acted as best man and Charles Frinack Jr. was groomsman. Bruce A. Hull and Chester Karpinski ushered. The mother of the bride selected a blue dress for her daughter’s wedding. The bridegroom’s mother attended in a wine dress. Each wore a corsage of yellow roses. James Hull, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer. A wedding dinner was served at 12:00 o’clock noon to 130 guests at St. Hedwig’s parish hall. During the afternoon reception, Vernon Lindquist of Minneapolis, entertained with music. Howard Sturtz and his Swing Kings played for a wedding dance at the hall in the evening. The bride was graduated from the Thorp High School and the bridegroom from Owen High School. |
