BERTHA FRANZ/ERNEST ELMER MARRIAGE

Miss Bertha Franz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Franz, and Ernest Elmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Elmer, were united in marriage at 3 o'clock, Wednesday, June 23rd, 1926, at the West Side Immanuel Reformed Church (Greenwood, Clark County) by Rev. O. J. Vriesen.

Pearl and Walter Elmer, sister and brother of the groom, and Clara and Ferdinand Franz, sister and brother of the bride, attended the couple.

The bride was dressed in silver white georgette crepe trimmed with velvet rosettes and silver ribbon and carried an arm bouquet of pink carnations, snap dragons, and swansonias. Her veil was beautifully embroidered with pearls and spanglers. The bridesmaid was attired in a deep peach Rayon silk and the maid of honor in a lavender crepe-de-chene, both wearing a corsage of sweet peas. The groom was dressed in a dark blue suit, the best men in gray. The groom and best men wore a buttoneer of white carnations. The bridal party entered the church to strains of the Bridal chorus from Wagner's Lohengrin , played by Miss Martha Franz. They entered in the following order: the bridesmaid and maid of honor, the bride, next the bride attended by the groom, followed by the best men. The church was beautifully decorated with Geraniums and Ferns.

An elaborate six o'clock dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents to the brothers and sister. Beautiful presents of crystal, silverware and furniture were received.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer will make their hoe with the groom's parents.

Their many friends join the Gleaner in extending congratulations.
