VIOLA WALTER/EDWIN BRUMBAUGH MARRIAGE


At a simple ceremony performed in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tuesday, May 10, 1938, at 8:00 A. M., marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Viola Walter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walter of the Town of Beaver and Edwin Brumbaugh, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Brumbaugh of the Town of Eaton, Clark County. Rev. J. J. Novak read the nuptial low mass.


Miss Dolores Walter and Richard Walter, sister and brother of the bride, acted as the couple's only attendants.


The bride wore a gray-blue suit with accessories to match and carried a prayer book. The bridesmaid wore a luggage-tan bolero dress and also carried a payer book. The groom wore an oxford gray suit. His attendant wore blue.


This day was also the 27th double wedding anniversary of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walter and her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Craig of Kenosha.


A wedding dinner was served for the bridal party and guest at the home of the bride's parents.


The bride has been employed at the Korupp Cafe at Greenwood for the past two years. The groom has been employed as agent of the Co-op Oil Company of Greenwood. After a several days trip through northern Wisconsin, the couple will reside on the Ed Rohde farm near Greenwood.


Out of town guest were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Craig and daughter Evelyn of Kenosha Robert Bukosky of Cornell Rev. Biegler of Neillsville and Rev. Novak of Greenwood.


The Gleaner joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a very happy married life.


Recently the bride was honored at a miscellaneous shower at the home of her parents and many lovely gifts were received.
