April 29, 1933 - SPEED-GULLORD


Miss Jacqueline Iva Speed and Dr. Edward George Gullord were married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mathews, 60 Carlton Road, Waban, Mass. by Dr. McDonald of the Union church, using the ring ceremony, Saturday, April 29th.


The bride was becomingly gowned in an Alice blue sheer wool crepe traveling gown with hat to match and carried a bouquet of Talisman roses and forget-me-nots. The bride's mother, Mrs. Evarts Speed of Louisville, Kentucky, wore black satin. Mrs. P. W. Gullord of Greenwood, Wis., the groom's mother was becomingly gowned in grey crepe Romain with grey hat to match. The best man was Dr. Andrew Babey, a Harvard classmate. Other Harvard classmates in the bridal party were Dr. Palmer Kundert of Madison, Wis., Dr. and Mrs. Chester Huggins of Nova Scotia, Dr. Chester Allen of Cambridge, Mass.


The girls in the wedding party, classmates of the bride at Radcliff were Miss Carmeen Frye, Miss Barbara Platt, Miss Nancy Norton. among the other guests were Mrs. Weeks and Mrs. Minor of Cambridge, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Waghorne of Belmont, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. Pebody Hamlin of Brookline, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nichols of Boston, Mass.


A wedding breakfast was served to the guests after which Dr. and Mrs. Gullord departed for New York City. On their return they will be at home in 18 Edward St., Belmont, Mass.


The Gleaner joins with his many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
