Roberts, Jessie May (Marriage - 24 DEC 1901)

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Roberts, on Second St., was the scene of a very pretty home wedding, on Tuesday eve, Dec. 24, 1901. The occasion being the marriage of their daughter, Miss Jessie May Roberts to Mr. Lewis A. Crandall. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Davenport, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, in the presence of the immediate relatives of the contracting parties. The happy couple were the recipients of a number of useful and valuable presents.

The bride is a talented and accomplished young lady, who, since coming to this place, with her parents a year ago, has won many friends by her cheerful disposition and loving ways. The groom came to this county from the east twelve years ago and for several years was engaged in contracting and building, having had to do with the construction of many of the best buildings of Lebanon and vicinity. About two years ago he entered the employ of the Southern Pacific Company and has since that time worked with the bridge carpenters. He is an industrious and energetic young man and is counted among that company's most trusted employees.

The will begin housekeeping at once with Mr. Crandall's parents, as his work is such as to require his absence from home the greater part of the time. (Lebanon, Ore. Criterion)
