Loren Murray Johnson was born 8 Jun 1840 in Brothertown, Calumet County, WI. He served in Co A 2nd WI Inf during the Civil War. He married on 5 April 1865 in Brothertown, Calumet County, WI to Permelia Jane Fowler. When they came to Clark Co, WI is not known for sure but their second youngest child was born in Brothertown, Calumet County in 1876 so it was some time after that date. Loren M Johnson was the son of Rowland Johnson and Almira Fowler and comes from a long family line of Johnson, Fowler, Dick, Skeesuck, Potter, Garrett, and Kindness which are all Brothertown Indian family names. His wife Permelia Jane Fowler also comes from some of the above names and also the names Seketer and Pharoah which are also Brothertown family names. Permelia Jane Fowler Johnson died 9 Oct 1909 Colby, Clark County, WI I have no burial information for her. Loren Murray Johnson died 19 Mar. 1886 at Colby, Clark County, WI and he is buried at Unity Township Cemetery, Unity, Clark Co, WI. His cemetery inscription reads as follows JOHNSON L. M. NO DATES CO A 2ND WI CAV. Loren and Permelia had the following children Arthur, Eddie, Emile, Millie, Dollie, Clayton Seymour, George Melvin, Mary, James Preston, Harriet Marion, and Albert Lucien Johnson No information is known about Arthur, Eddie, Emile, Millie, or Dollie. Clayton Seymour Johnson was born on 24 May 1866 in Brothertown, Calumet Co. WI. He married Isabel Calista Graham, on 5 Oct 1894 in Colby, Clark County, WI. Isabel was born on 11 Aug 1878 in Colby, Clark County, WI and was the daughter of James Graham and Mary Dolph. Clayton died in 1942 in Colby, Clark County, WI. Isabel died on 26 Oct 1913 Colby, Clark County, WI Clayton and Isabel had the following children: Oscar Elwin, and Celia Jane Oscar Elwin was born 6 April 1896 at Colby, Clark County, WI and married on 15 Sept 1917 in Kenosha, Kenosha County,WI to Illma Spencer, daughter of Oscar Asa Spencer and Etta Tallman. Oscar Elwin died on 13 Aug 1950 in Kenosha, Kenosha County, WI. Celia Jane was born 8 Aug 1897 in Colby, Clark County, WI and married on 26 Oct 1914 in Racine, Racine County, WI to Arthur R Burt who was born in Racine, Racine County, WI Celia and Arthur had the following children: Guy Clayton and Isabel Guy Clayton Burt no information is known about him Isabel Burt was born 18 July 1916 and married Francis Page on 11 May 1935 in Rockford, Winnabago County, Illinois Isabel and Francis had two daughters: Jane Louise and Susan Harriett George Melvin Johnson was born on 23 Feb 1868 in Brothertown, Calumet Co. WI no other information is known about him. Mary Johnson was born in April,1878 in Brothertown, Calumet Co. WI no other information is known about her. James Preston Johnson was born on 18 Oct 1872 in Brothertown, Calumet Co. WI and he married Lydia Effie Stacy on 23 Dec 1892 in Colby, Clark County, WI. Lydia was the dau of Charles and Jesse Stacy . James and Lydia had the following children: Rowland Danforth, Raymond Stacy, and Jesse Emery James died Nov 1935 Spokane, Washington. Lydia died 8 July 1952 in Spokane, Washington Rowland Danforth Johnson was born 5 Dec 1895 and died 1969 Spokane, Washington He married Blanche Chance and they had one son, Frank Johnson, who died Abt 1971 Raymond Stacy was born 9 Jan 1901,married in 1917 to Ruby Wade and had one son, Daniel Raymond Johnson born 7 Dec 1919 died 15 Sept 1950 Japan, married Katherine Louise Dodgen born 29 Oct 1920 Sinton, Tx. and had children Richard Preston and Robert Raymond Johnson Robert Raymond was born 13 Aug,1944 White Plains, NY married Sue (last name unknown) and they had child Kim Johnson born Nov 1965 Austin, Tx married Mike Magee and had children, Robby, Alicia, James, and Clayton Magee. Richard Preston was born 16 May,1948 Seattle,Washington. |
