“? Little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such in the kingdom of heaven.”
“Papa’s Darling Little Baby!” That was the name she bore. How oft in her baby language Had she said it o’er and o’er. Oh, our precious little Myrtle, Rarest gift that Heaven e’er gave! She was ours but for a season, Now she sleeps within the grave, Not our will, but Thine, Our Father, Were the words we tried to say, When came the silent boatman And bore our child away, Oh Grave, where is thy victory! Oh Death, where is thy sting! When a spirit freed from the bondage In Paradise doth sing. She is resting now with Jesus. Fondly clasped within His Arms; Brighter are her winsome features, Sweeter are her baby charms, She is singing up in Heaven, Lisping for a song of love – Love that doth abide forever In that blessed home above. Why should we mourn departed loved ones, Freed from pain and care and strife? Death is no the “King of Terrors, But an awaking into life,

“C.S. Stockwell was up the turnpike doing some surveying this week, and returned early yesterday morning. Ed Pratt, of Greenwood, brought Mr. Stockwell home, receiving for his pay only the honor of riding with the president of the Neillsville Club. Ed told a confidential friend yesterday that when he went to his barn to feed his team he found Mr. Stockwell crawling from the hay mow.” Neillsville Republican and Press, 31 Aug 1889
