The Jordan family lived in the Township of Hendren and
had a Willard, WI address.
Joseph was born in Ljubluana in Jugoslavia January 1, 1860 and Agnes Gruber was
born January 11, 1863. They were married in Jugoslavia. There were four children
born there and three of them died in infancy. Joseph, wife Agnes and daughter
Agnes came to United States in 1889 and they settled in LaSalle, Illinois. He
worked in a foundry there and they moved to Willard to farm in 1908. The
youngest child, Ludwig was born in 1910 after they moved to Willard, in the
Township of Hendren. He bought the home farm in 1938 and was married to
Elizabeth Scharenbrock. They had four children: Lorraine, Betty, Rudy, and
William. Ludwig and Elizabeth have both passed away and the family has all moved
to other areas except one daughter that lives in this area. That is Betty
Schmidt who lives in Loyal, WI.
