      MYRTLE TUTTLE/OLUF OLSON MARRIAGE


      Oluf Olson and Myrtle Tuttle were married at the home of the bride six and one half miles south of Curtiss, Clark County last Wednesday, March 27, 1901.

      Family Note: Oluf was the first born son of Arne and Ellen (Johnson) Olson.  He was just barely a year old when he crossed the ocean with his mother to join his father in Clark Co., Wisconsin.  Myrtle was the oldest daughter of Francis Marion & Barbara (Shanks) Tuttle of Colby, Wisconsin.  Her family roots can be traced back to the very founding of America when her ancestors, William & Elizabeth Tuttle helped found New Haven CT.  The first building of Yale was eventually built upon the land homesteaded of those ancestors .
