ALICE IRENE MILLER/J.F. BLANCHARD MARRIAGE

A very pretty wedding took place at Ashford Wednesday evening, Aug. 18, 1909, united in marriage Miss Alice Irene Miller, formerly of Park Falls, Wis., to J. F. Blanchard of the same city. The wedding was solemnized at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Miller, in the presence of relatives and family friends, Rev. S.W. Beaven of Tacoma, reading the impressive service. Lohengrin's Bridal Chorus, played by Miss Alice Pumphery of Tacoma, announced the bridal party, the bride entering with her father, who gave her in marriage. She was attended by Miss Eval Miller, who wore a charming bridesmaid gown of white mull flowered pink roses and carried daybreak carnations. Robert Miller was ring bearer, and groomsman was Wm. C. Miller of Wenatchee. For the ceremony the bride and groom took beneath a bridal bower of ferns and cut flowers, the bride making a beautiful picture in her lingerie gown of white mull, worn with a full length veil of net edged in Princess Louise lace. Her flowers were a shower of bride's roses caught into cascades with white sweet peas and gauze ribbons.

A wedding collation was served in the dining room, where the bride's table was profusely decorated in carnations and sweet peas. Many handsome wedding gifts were presented to the young couple, the list including beautiful pieces in silver, cut glass, brass and linen.

Mr. and Mrs. Blanchard, who left by automobile for Tacoma that evening, followed by the best wishes of many western friends, will visit friends in Bangor, Mich. on their bridal trip east, going by way of Salt Lake, Denver and Chicago. Their future home will be Park Falls, Wis., where they will be at home after Oct. 1st.

The many friends of Mrs. Blanchard, who is a graduate of the Greenwood, Clark County High School, extend heartiest congratulations.
