Helen Apollonia Archambo
, 85, Abbotsford, died Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford.


Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford, with Rev. Al Jakubowski officiating. Inurnment will be at the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.


Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, at the church.


Maurina Funeral Home of Abbotsford assisted the family with arrangements.


The former Helen Nikolay was born on April 12, 1914 at Rozellville, to the late Jacob and Anna (Illig) Nikolay. She was a graduate of Abbotsford High School.


Her marriage to Royal Archambo, who died May 13, 1983, took place on November 12, 1935 at St. Bernard's Church in Abbotsford. In 1940 they moved to Sheboygan and returned to Abbotsford in 1949. She was employed part time as a secretary with the Nikolay Law Office. They later owned and operated Helen's Antiques in Abbotsford.


She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed antiques, collecting lamps, baseball, and playing cards.


Survivors include one daughter, Carol Reichersamer, Abbotsford one son, Frank (Sharon), Abbotsford four brothers, Melvin (Marian), Frank (Mary), John "Jack" (Helen), and James (Cleo), all of Abbotsford one sister, Anne (Thomas) Talaska, Greenfield 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.


In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Alfred and one sister, Estelle Hess.


Memorials may be given to the Lawton Center for Cancer Research in Marshfield, or for memorial masses for Helen's intention.
