Braun, Frederick (1857 - 1939)

 

March 15, 1939--Braun Funeral is Held on Monday, Clark County, WI


Greenwood--Funeral services for Frederick Braun, 81, who died Thursday, March 9, at his home in Greenwood, were conducted Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home, and at 2 o'clock at the Zion Reformed Church in Greenwood


The Rev. E. G. Pfeiffer and the Rev. P. H. Franzmeier officiated at the funeral rites, and interment was made in the Braun Settlement cemetery. The Rev. Mr. Pfeiffer preached a German sermon, and the Rev. Mr. Franzmeier delivered an English sermon.


Mrs. Willard Stafford and Misses Louise and Freda Keiner and Gertrude Schwarze sang three numbers, "The Old Rugged Cross," "Nearer My God to Thee," and "Lass Mich Gehen", Mrs. Adolph Meyer was piano accompanist. The congregation sang, "Mein Leben 1st Ein Pilgrimstand."


Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, Fred Warncke, Edward Braun, William Horn, and Gust, Art, and Henry Horn. Flowers were carried by grandchildren, Frederick Noah, Neil Braun, Allen Braun, Norman Hoah, Shirley Braun, and Catherine Braun.


Those from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. Theodore Knifke, Chicago; Mrs Minna Schomberg, Mrs. Harry Boll and son, Raymond, Sheboygan Falls; Mrs. Otto Sickman, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tripp, Marshfield; Fred Warncke and daughter, Marjorie, Maplehurst; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Warncke and family, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and Mrs. Newman, Atwood; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Karsten, Harry Harsten, and Mrs. Franklin Kraut, Curtiss; Carl Reber, Owen; and Nels Myrin and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baehr, Withee.
