Obituary of Mrs. Lizzie A. Claire (1869-1959)


Mrs. Lizzie Claire, nee Albright was born January 14, 1869 at Lena, Ill. and was married there June 16, 1891 to Aaron L. Claire. After their marriage they lived at Mount Morris, Ill. Until 1907 when they moved to Willard. She continued to live in the Willard area after her husband's death until eight years ago when she went to live with her daughter in Chicago. She was a member of the Brethren Church.


Mrs. Claire passed away at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Scharenbrock in Chicago on Monday, August 18, 1958. A service was held in Chicago and the body was brought to the Hill Funeral Home on
Thursday morning.


Funeral services were held at the Hill Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 1959. Rev. Mrs. Ethel Nulton of Grace Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood cemetery. During the services the Misses Carol Syth and Joann Peterson sang, "In The Garden" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" accompanied by Mrs. Wm. Olson on the piano.


The pallbearers were Roland and Paul Hintz, Jack and James Scharenbrock, Sterling Zimmerman and Roy Dunne.


Mrs. Claire is survived by one son, Arnold B. Claire, Willard three daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Alma) Hendrickson, Aurora, Ill. Mrs. John
(Elizabeth) Scharenbrock, Chicago Mrs. Glenn (Mildred) Borchers, Lyndon Station eleven grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Dr. J. L. Albright, Chicago, Ill.


One daughter Ada, two sons Alva and Allen, and 7 sisters and 6 brothers preceded her in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hintz and family, Milwaukee Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kippenhan, Wausau Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fravert and children, Loyal Mr. and Mrs. Byron Class, Granton Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Zimmerman, New Orleans, La. Mrs.
Herbert Kurth, Neillsville.
