Goliarda "Guy" D'Orazio (1910 - 1999)

Goliarda G. D'Orazio, 89, Colby, Clark County, WI died Tuesday, Dec. 14 at his son's home in Barrington, Ill.


Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford with Rev. Kenneth A. Dix officiating and the Medford Masonic Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons No. 217 performing Masonic services. Inurnment took place at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.


Goliarda "Guy" D'Orazio was born October 15, 1910 at Milwaukee to the late Gaetano and Genoeffa (D'Amico) D'Orazio.


His marriage to Jane Marten, who died April 21, 1986, took place on September 2, 1935 at Chippewa Falls. They lived in Medford and then moved to Colby in 1948. He was a teacher in Medford and Dorchester. He was employed at the Marcus Feed Mill in Colby and until retirement owned and operated an insurance agency in Abbotsford.


Survivors include one son, Barry (Karen), Barrington, Ill. one brother, Nello (Ruth) one sister, Lillian Neal, Saginaw, Mich., three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bruno, and two sisters, Doris Jones and Alma Barbaris.
