JOHN (JACK) FELIX


John (Jack) N. Felix, 75, Greenwood, Clark County, died Sunday, July 29, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 1, 199, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Richard Sorenson officiated and burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Thiel, Bill Tell, Mike Karlan, Shane Frisch, Jim Gregorich, and Dean Johnson.


Honorary pallbearers were Norman Roth, John Potocnik, Harry Marvin, David Lavey, Don Sieg, Conrad Krogness, and Harold Hendrickson.


John (Jack) Felix was born July 14, 1915, in Chicago Heights, Ill, to John and Geraldine (nee Nichales) Felix.


He received his education in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-45, serving in the European, African and Middle East Theatre. He married Verdelle Turnquist in Chicago, Ill., Dec. 19, 1945. She survives. He worked as a welder at Electro Motive Company until 1948, when they moved to the Greenwood area and farmed until 1962. He then work at E-Z Camper and Roth Manufacturing in Loyal until retiring in 1971. They moved to the city of Greenwood in 1985. He was a member of VFW and Legion in Greenwood and Our Savior's Lutheran Church.


Survivors include his wife three sons, Douglas Felix, Greenwood Bruce Felix, Marshfield and James Felix, Austin, Texas one brother, Gerald Felix, Escondido, Cal. and seven grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather.


Rux Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
