FRANCKENBERG DIES SUDDENLY AT AGE OF 63


Hermann Franckenberg, a former resident of Greenwood, Clark County, where he is well known, died at his home at Bellingham, Wash., June 26th, 1920. The American-Reveille of Bellingham has the following to say regarding his death.


Herman Franckenberg, a resident of Bellingham for sixteen years, who live at 2406 Cornwall Avenue, died suddenly yesterday afternoon about 5 o'clock, a few minutes after reaching a local hospital, where he was taken in the city ambulance. Death was due to an arterial hemorrhage. The ambulance called for Franckenberg at the corn of Dock and Magnolia streets and he was attended immediately by Dr. Tormey.


Franckenberg was 63 years of age and was born in Milwaukee. He was a commercial salesman, but recently followed the shoe business, being employed at the Walk-Over Shoe store and Phillips shop in this city. The surviving relatives are the widow, Matilda two sons, Arthur M. of New York City, and Dr. Irvin Franckenberg of Aberdeen, Wash.


Dr. Franckenberg, not knowing of his father's death is on his way here for a visit and will arrive today. The other son, who recently came from the east to visit his parents is on his way back to New York.


Franckenberg was a member of local lodge No. 5193 of the Modern Woodmen of America and of the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral announcements will be made tomorrow by Arthur C. Harlow, who has charge of the body. Interment will take place here.
