Clarence F. Goerg, 88, Medford, died on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Memorial Hospital in Medford.


Memorial services will be scheduled in the spring. Cremainal interment will take place in Medford Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Hemer Funeral Home in Medford assisted the family with arrangements.


Clarence Goerg was born September 23, 1911 at Medford to the late Frederick and Mary (Ackeret) Goerg. He attended Medford area schools and was a graduate of the Taylor County Normal School.


His marriage to the former Lucille D. Cooper, who survives, took place on June 22, 1935 at Rhinelander. After his education he taught elementary education in Perkinstown for a short period of time. He was employed with Hurd Millwork. He worked as a city mail carrier at the Medford Post Office for 34 years. Toward the end of his career, he delivered mail in rural areas. He retired in the 1970's.


He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed playing cards.


In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Frederick C. (Marilyn), Derwood, Md. and Ted E. "Butch" (Heidi), Medford two sisters, Evelyn "Babe" (Ken) Marcott, Dorchester, Clark County, WI and Marie Brecke, Milton, Fla. one brother, Ray (Stell), Milwaukee three grandchildren three step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings as youngsters.
