SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. CLARENCE HOLT


Services for Mrs. Clarence (Mary Ann) Holt, 78, Route 1, Greenwood, Clark County, were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. Mrs. Holt died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 1976 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Officiating was the Rev. Gary L. Clark. Burial was in Neillsville Cemetery.


The former Mary Ann McKimm was born March 13, 1898 in the Town of York, Clark County, and attended the former Oriole Hill and Forman School. After her marriage to Clarence Holt on Dec. 5, 1923, in Clark County, they operated a farm in the Town of Weston. She continued to reside on the farm with a son following her husband's death Feb. 26, 1966.


Mrs. Holt was a member of the United Church of Christ, Royal Neighbors of America, Golden Link No. 78, and the Women's Relief Corps.


Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Emma) Wilson, Route 3, Neillsville, and Mrs. Audrey Rice, Route 1, Greenwood, four sons, Ray Hetzel, Granton, Gale Hetzel, Alexandria, La., Donald Holt, Route 1, Greenwood, and Verlan Holt, south Beloit, Ill. a sister, Mrs. Robert (Bella) Dux, Lancaster, Calif. a brother, Raymond McKimm, Marshfield 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.
