OBITUARY OF MRS. ERVIN HORN


Amelia Mae Sprinkle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sprinkle, was born July 12, 1909 at Ludington, Wis.
On March 19, 1931 she was united in marriage to Ervin Horn. To this union were born three daughters, one dying in infancy, Nadine 17 and Corrine 15.


On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, 1951, the family were enroute to spend the day with her sister and family at Ingram and when they were nine miles west of Stetsonville, the car skidded on an icy surface and struck and embankment. Mr. and Mrs. Horn were trapped in the car, but the two daughters escaped and were able to get aid at a nearby farm. They were taken to the hospital but Mrs. Horn passed away before reaching the hospital.
She leaves to mourn, her husband and two daughters, her father Eugene Sprinkle, Black River Falls two brothers, James of Merrillan and Walter of Augusta two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Sue) Shanke, Milwaukee and Mrs. Richard (Ann) Marten, Ingram.


She was preceded in death by her daughter, her mother and a brother, Sam.


Funeral services were held at the Alliance Chapel at Owen on Monday, Nov. 26th. During the service two songs were sung Sometime we'll Understand and Beyond The Sunset by Rev. and Mrs. Wagner. She was laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery in Braun Settlement, Clark County.
The pallbearers were all nephews, Donald, Duane, Lloyd, Herbert, Gerald and Darrel Horn.


The flower girls were Kathleen, Strebe, Agnes Potter, Evelyn Gerhardt and Isabelle Lukwicz.


Those from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shanke and daughters Dolores and Janet, Mrs. Al Resech, Milwaukee Mr. and Mrs. Richard Martens and daughter Judy, Ingram Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sprinkle, Augusta James Sprinkle, Merrillan Eugene Sprinkle, Black River Falls Mr. and Mrs. Norman Horn, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Stanke, Wausau Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Wadzinski, Pittsville Mrs. M.F. Schuman, Watertown S.D. Art Horn, Onaka, S.D. Mrs. Anna Sprinkle, Eau Claire Charles Wentworth, Minneapolis and a great number of relatives and friends from Greenwood.
