IRENE DARTON BURIED AT LOYAL


Funeral services for Mrs. Hugh Darton, 69, Loyal, Clark County, were held Tuesday afternoon, June 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. David E. Wenger, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood, officiated with interment in the Loyal Cemetery. The Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She passed away Sunday, June 27, 1976, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Irene C. Darton was the daughter of Charles and Ida Molle and was born Dec. 2, 1906, at Unity.


She attended the Unity schools, and Stevens Point Teacher's College. After graduating from college she taught at Sunnyside School and the Riplinger School for three years.


On Aug. 15, 1928, she was married to Hugh Darton. Following their marriage they farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1967, when they moved to the City of Loyal.


Mrs. Darton was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Beaver Center Homemakers Club and Trinity Ladies Aid.


She is survived by her husband, Hugh, two daughters, Mrs. Merlin (Carol Jean) Bender, Spencer and Mrs. Lynn (Donna Lou) Lawrenz, Algoma, Wis., two sisters, Mrs. Leona Toltzman, Spencer and Mrs. Otto (Ruth) Schultz, Spencer, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.


Pallbearers were her nephews, Laurence Below, Spencer Orin Toltzman, Marshfield Eugene Prienn, Colby Harold Boyer, Unity Ronald Schulz, Spencer, and Walter Seefeld, Unity.
