HENRY NEUMAN DIES OF INJURIES

Henry Neuman, 43, was severely injured Thursday afternoon at about 5:40 while at work on the new dam being constructed at Tourist Park.
Neuman was hurled into the air when a huge block of cement dropped on the opposite end of a pole on which he was standing. In alighting the man's head struck against other blocks of concrete, rendering him unconscious. His head was badly crushed and his entire left side was paralyzed.

He was rushed to this city (Greenwood, Clark County) where Dr. F. A. Boeckman administered first aid and then took him to the hospital at Marshfield. Here an operation was performed and blood clots were removed from the brain. Everything possible was done to save his life, but he passed away at 6:10 Saturday morning without regaining consciousness.

Mr. Neuman located in Greenwood about a month ago and just recently started work with the Weaver Construction Co. of Owen, who are putting in a new dam across Black River near Tourist Park. Before locating here he was employed at Willard as a cheesemaker.

He is survived by his wife and six children, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.

Short funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon. From there the body was taken to Loyal, where services were held at the Methodist Church. Interment was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Deceased was well and favorably known throughout this vicinity and the many friends extend their sympathy to the bereaved wife and children.
