Truman B. Hill, 87, Greenwood, Clark County, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1992, at Neillsville Memorial Hospital, Neillsville. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, 1992, at 11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood. Rev. Ronald Stelzleni will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Madison. Military rites will be performed by the Greenwood American Legion.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Oct. 3 at the Church.


Truman B. Hill was born Jan. 26, 1905, in Glen Flora, to David and Bessie Hill.


He received his education in Mellon schools, La Crosse Normal School and Worsham Mortuary College in Chicago. He was a teacher at Sanborn. He married Florence Bergen Dec. 28, 1945, in Madison. She survives. He and his family moved from Viroqua in 1952 to Greenwood, where he owned and operated Hill Furniture and Funeral Home until he hung out his gone fishing sign on the business in 1975. He continued living in Greenwood until entering the nursing home in 1991. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a member of the Greenwood American Legion, and Masonic Lodge, York R and Shrine.


Survivors include his wife two daughters, Trudy, Richmond, Cal. and Judy, Chicago, Ill. two granddaughters, one brother, Delos, DeSoto and five sisters, Mrs. Grace Outcelt, Viroqua Mrs. Hope Ivey, Mrs. Velma Storll, Mrs. Lee Dyke, and Mrs. Lola Zacharius, all of DeSoto.


He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
