OBITUARY OF MRS. A.H. LEGAULT


Valeria Aurora LeGault, nee Hebert, daughter of Minnie Fournier and Joseph Hebert, was born Feb. 13, 1871 at St. John's, Canada, and passed away at Owen, Clark County Saturday, Sept.9, 1939 from a stroke having reached the age of 68 years, 6 months and 24 days.


As a child she came with her parents to the United States, settling at Romeo, Wis., residing here until her marriage on Sept. 26, 1886 to Alderich Henry LeGault at Neillsville. They began their married life in Longwood and remained there until 1920, when they moved to Loyal, later going to Owen.


To this union were born two sons, George A. of Owen and Leo H., who passed away in 1918, and four daughters, Mrs. E. J. (Della) Regen, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. H. B. (Marcia) Palms, Menomonie, Wis. Mrs. A. C. (Mae) Buker, Greenwood, Wis. Mrs. E. J. (Esther) Etta, Medford, Wis.


A requiem high mass was celebrated at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at Owen on Tuesday morning, Sept. 12, 1939 with Rev. Father Brady as celebrant, Rev. Father Weller as Deacon and Rev. Father Novak as Sub Deacon. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.


She is survived by her husband and above named children, four sister, Mrs. Mary Tripanier, Westboro Mrs. Julia Dorval, Tomahawk Miss Lillie Hebert, Ashland Mrs. Lucy Burbey, Oconto and one brother, Charles of Oconto. Her parents, one son, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.


The pallbearers were W. K. Doonan, V. F. Shereda, Leo Meyer, Ed Buker, C. M. Halverson and Archie Thibert.

LeGAULT, Mr./Mrs. A.H. Golden anniversary - 26 Sep 1936

Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Legault celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at a family reunion dinner at their home on Sept. 26th, 1936. One of the remarkable features of this couple is their youthful appearance and their ability to still enjoy life. Mr. Legault is seventy-one and Mrs. Legault is sixty-five. The union was blessed with six children, four of whom were present to help their parents celebrate the occasion. The eldest son, L.H. LeGault passed away in 1918 and the eldest daughter, Mrs. E.J. Regan of Chicago, could not attend. Immediate relatives who were present for the event were: Dr. and Mrs.

 

G.A. LeGault and Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Palms of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Buker of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Etta and family of Medford; J.F. Herbert, Mrs. E. Dorval and Mrs. L.A. Burbey of Oconto; Mrs. J. Tripanier and son, Richard of Westboro; Mrs. D.R. Burbey of Chelsea, and A. Thibert and family of Withee.
