OBITUARY OF MRS. ENOCH JOHNSON

Clara Jane Whitcomb was born in Brighton, Maine, June 11, 1844. She came with her parents to Sheboygan City, Wis., in 1862. The following year, 1863, she was united in marriage to Enoch B. Johnson.

In the year 1874, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson moved to the town of York, Clark County, and lived on a farm until the year 1901, when they moved into the village of Loyal, where Mr. Johnson passed away June 5, 1910. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Johnson has made her home with her children.

Four children were born to this union, Mrs. Ella Richardson, deceased Mrs. George Garner of Greenwood, Wis. John, who passed away in infancy and Lyman F. Johnson of Merrill, Wis.

Mrs. Johnson leaves to mourn, her two children, one brother, L. F. Whitcomb of Marshfield, Wis., seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She lived and died in the Christian faith thru the many months of her sickness and suffering she again and again asserted her faith and her hope in Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was a member of the Methodist Church for more than forty years and was a kind and loving mother, a friend who will not be forgotten.

On Friday morning at eleven o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Gardner, after being confined to her bed for almost a year, her spirit took its leave to the God who gave it, to be with her Lord.

Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Garner Sunday afternoon, Jan. 11, 1931, at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. Householder officiating. The body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Loyal Cemetery.
