TIOGA WOMAN KILLED AT GARY, IND.


Mrs. Martha Podrovitz, 45, wife of Tom Podrovitz of Tioga, Clark County, was killed at Gary, Indiana last Wednesday, April 11, 1934.


Last week Mrs. Podrovitz went to Chicago for a visit with relatives and from there to Gary to see some friends. She was crossing the street in Gary when hit by an automobile and instantly killed.


Deceased was born in Yugoslavia in 1888. The family moved from Milwaukee to their present home near Tioga about fifteen years ago.
She leaves her husband, four daughters, Mary and Anna of Milwaukee, Fanny of Tioga and Catherine of Willard, two sons, Steve of Childress, Texas, and George of Chicago, also many other relatives and friends.


Funeral services were held from the Holy Family Church at Willard, Monday. The body was laid to rest in the Willard Catholic Cemetery, Rev. Father Murin officiated.
