OBITUARY OF MRS. EDITH KELLEY


Mrs. Edith Kelley
, former resident of this city (Greenwood, Clark County), passed away at St. Paul, Minn. Wednesday, May 22, 1935 of a stroke.


Edith Morey was born in Reedsburg, Wis., July 31, 1863 and was united in marriage to W.R. Kelley of Plainfield at the age of 18 years. To this union were born five children, Mrs. L. E. Rees of this city Mrs. M. R. Stewart of Milwaukee, Mrs. Lee Wallis of Glendale, Calif. Mrs. T. J. Melville of St. Paul, Minn. Jay Kelley passed away in infancy.


Mr. Kelley passed away in Greenwood, Aug. 22, 1917, at the age of 63 years. From this time Mrs. Kelley made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Lee Wallis until they moved to California. Since then she lived with her daughter, Mrs. T. J. Melville of St. Paul.
She suffered a stroke two years ago, from which she had never fully recovered, and on Wednesday, May 22, 1935 she passed away suddenly from another stroke.
The remains were taken to Plainfield, her former home, where funeral services were held Sunday by Rev. Randall, Baptist minister and the Royal Neighbors, to which she had been faithful for the past thirty-five years.


She leaves to mourn her loss the four daughters and two brothers, one at Wisconsin Rapids and one at Plainfield and a great many very dear friends.


The friends in this community extend their sympathy to the daughters in their bereavement.
