ELMER ADAMS


Elmer C. Adams, 83, a resident of Memorial Home, Neillsville, Clark County, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1992, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 1992, at Zion Lutheran Church, town of Pine Valley, with Rev. Jerry Lamb, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the North Pine Valley Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons David Marg, Danny Marg, Mark Kuechenmeister, Robert Kuechenmeister, Scott Klueckmann, Gregory Adams, and Brian Walk. The vocalist will be Debra Marg, accompanied by Virginia Karnitz.


The family will receive visitors at the church for one hour before the services.


Elmer C. Adams was born July 2, 1909, at Onarga, Ill., to William and Aleada (nee Wagner) Adams. He came to Clark County with his family at an early age. He received his education at Neillsville. He farmed and worked as a milk hauler for many years, and later was employed by Nelson Filter in Neillsville, from which he retired. He married Hazel Brown March 30, 1932, at Globe. She preceded him in death Dec. 31, 1989. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, town of Pine Valley.


Survivors include one son, Wilbert Adams, Greenwood four daughters, Mrs. Duane (Rhoena) Marg, Granton Nancy Ruzeck, Neillsville Mrs. Denis (Bonnie) Kuechenmeister, Granton and Mrs. Albert (Barbara) Olson, Neillsville one sister, Mrs. Gordon (Viola) Sharratt, Neillsville 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and two sons, Larry and David.


The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is handling arrangements.
