ALVIN EHLERS, SR.


Alvin Ehlers, Sr., 81, of Greenwood, Clark County, who has been residing at Neillsville Memorial Home for the past 4 years, passed away Sunday morning, July 10, 1977, at 7:30 a.m.


Funeral services for Alvin Ehlers, Sr. were held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood.


Rev. Robert Houston officiated and burial was made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwood.


Alvin Ehlers was born in Watertown to Frank and Bertha Ehlers on April 19, 1896 and received his education at Eaton Center Schools.


He married Mary Morgal at St. Mary's Church, Greenwood, on Jan. 11, 1924.


He was employed as a milk hauler for the Neillsville Condensery for 25 years and farmed in the Town of Eaton for 45 years.


He is survived by his wife, Mary one daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Amy) Olson of Waukesha two sons, Alvin, Jr. of Neillsville and William of Greenwood six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by three sisters.


Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
