WILLIAM GEISLER PASSES AWAY


Wm. F. Geisler
, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Geisler was born in the Town of Warner, Clark County, Feb. 24, 1883 and grew to manhood in Braun Settlement and also received his education here. He learned the buttermaker trade and after his marriage to Miss Ethel Howard of Granton on Oct. 2, 1907, he operated a factory for many years until he purchased the home place from his father. He engaged in farming for several years until poor health forced him to retire.


He passed away at Humbird Jan. 26, 1939 and funeral services were conducted at the Schiller Funeral Home at Neillsville on Sunday, Jan. 19, 1939, Rev. E. P. Stone, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Neillsville Cemetery.


Mr. Geisler is survived by his wife, two daughters, Ione and Ilene of Chicago, one granddaughter, his mother, Mrs. Otto Geisler and two brothers, Adolph and Edward of the Town of Warner. One son, Cleo passed away in 1929 and his father also preceded him in death.
The pallbearers were Edward Braun, Wm. Alperstett, Wm. Schlinsog, Herman Damerow, Gastav Horn and Jake Speich.

Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Howard, all of Granton Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Horn, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Braun, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Braun,, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Horn, Mrs. Ida Horn, Harold Horn, Genry Horn, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Speich, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Damerow, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Alperstett, Melvin Alperstett, Ervin Bodel, Mr. and Mrs. John Seibold, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schlinsog, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Franz, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sturtz, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Horn, Andrew Seibold, Ernest Kriessig, Ferndinand Franz, Gustave Horn.
