MRS. JOHN S. WUETHRICH, SR.


Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8, at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood, for Mrs. John S. (Vera) Wuethrich, Sr., 86, of Greenwood, Clark County, who passed away at noon on Friday, Aug. 5, at Neillsville Memorial Home.


Rev. Lourinda Sanford and Rev. Lee Holmes officiated and Mrs. Rose Wagner was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Leon Kuester on the organ. Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Vera Drummond was born at Necedah on Oct. 26, 1890. At the age of nine she came to Greenwood with her parents and received her education, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1907. She was employed at the Big Store for two years, and was married to John S. Wuethrich on June 10, 1909.


She was active in the bookkeeping of the John Wuethrich Creamery Co.., Inc. for many years and was a director of the Co-op at the time of her death.


She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Society.


Surviving her are two sons, L. Allen Wuethrich of Willard and John D. Wuethrich of Greenwood six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband in 1948 one brother and a great-grandson.


Serving as pallbearers were Victor Macaruso, Dallas Wuethrich, Sam Wuethrich, Donald Noeldner, Arendt Danielson and Phillip Mattes, Jr.


Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
