OBITUARY OF GILBERT H. FABIAN


Gilbert Herbert Fabian was born Oct. 24, 1931 on a farm five miles southeast of Greenwood in the Town of Eaton, Clark County, Wis. In 1938 he moved with his parents to a farm one mile east of Greenwood in the Town of Warner.


He was taken sick on Saturday, July 1 and taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield on Friday morning July 7.  He passed away there on Monday July 10, 1939 at 7:30 p.m. The cause of his death was ruptured appendix and the doctors were unable to operate. He had reached the age of 7 years, 8 months and 16 days.


Gilbert attended the Eaton Center School for almost one year and the Christopherson school for one year. He was baptized at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at Loyal on Nov. 15, 1931. He was a member of the Sunday School for two years.


He leaves to mourn, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fabian, one brother Herman, three sisters, Minnie, Helen and Elsie, a grandmother, Mrs. Frank Ehlers, nine uncles and aunts, 48 cousins and many other relatives and a host of friends.


Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 14, 1939 at 1 p.m. from the home and at 2:00 p.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church at Loyal. He was laid to rest in the Loyal Cemetery, Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated.


The pallbearers were six Sunday School boys, Fred Cox Jr., Morley English, Adolph Voight, Alvin Clouse, Elroy Gotter and Calvin Capella.


The flower girls were Frances Ann Langholz, Ethel Clouse, Agnes Wehrman, Mavis Otto and Mildred Oestrich.


The burial was in charge of the Ohlrogge Funeral directors.


Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Charlie Neuman of Oconomowoc Mrs. Wm. Parrott and son Charles of Waukesha.
