MRS. THEO MECH DIED SUDDENLY

This city was greatly shocked Monday evening when it learned that Mrs. Theodore Mech had passed away at Marshfield at 5:00 o'clock that afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Mech had gone to Marshfield, where Mrs. Mech had been taking treatment of Dr. Fornfeldt, Chiropractor, but had not taken a treatment that day. She complained of feeling dizzy and sick. An ambulance was called to take her to St. Joseph's Hospital, but she had passed away before reaching there.

Amanda Kraut was born in Clintonville in April 1896 and was united in marriage there in May 1918. They resided in Shawno County, Ingram and Loyal before coming here (Greenwood, Clark County) 11 years ago.

To this union were born three sons, Melvin of Dodge City, Kan., Vernon and Robert at home and one daughter, Jean, also at home.

Mrs. Mech has been in poor health for many years, suffering with arthritis and since the summer of 1940 has spent most of the time in bed. She has been a patient at hospitals at Madison, Marshfield and Chippewa Falls, and also in South Dakota.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from the Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. George Heilman officiating. The body will be taken to Clintonville where a short service will be held, with burial there.

Mrs. Mech is survived by her husband and the above named children, two brothers and three sisters. Her parents preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
