INGVALD HEMBRE


Ingvald, Hembre, 77, of 622 Eugenia Ave., Madison, Wis., died Friday, Dec. 23, 1977 at Verona Nursing Home. He was born Aug. 13, 1900 near Greenwood, Clark County, WI. He attended Christopherson grade School and graduated from Greenwood High School with the class of 1918. He attended the University of Wisconsin Madison and graduated with a B.S. and M.S. degree in Educational Agriculture. He served as Vocational Agriculture teacher administrator of different schools in Rusk and Barron Counties. From 1936 to 1947 he was County Agent of Barron County. In 1948, he joined the staff of College of Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin Madison. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison and served as Sunday School Superintendent of that church for several years. He also served in various offices in the Masonic Lodge. He was a 33 degree Mason and past Grand Master of the state of Wisconsin.


He was married on July 6, 1929 at Hawkins, Wis. to Margit Fond, who survives him. Other survivors are one daughter, Dorothy Fuellenann of Los Alenitos, CA. three sons, Donald of Middelton, CO., James of Wayzata, MN., and Jack of Madison, WI. 11 grandchildren three sisters, Inga Ludwigson of Milwaukee, Lillie Johnson of Santa Barbara, CA and Edna Meyer of Cameron, WI. two brothers, Julius of Montevideo, MN. And Donald of Panorama City, CA.


Funeral services were at Bethel Lutheran Church, Madison, Dec. 27, followed by burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison.
