FRANCIS HANSEN


Francis Hansen, 62, Greenwood, Clark County, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 1991, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 1991, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Rev. James Lesczynski officiated and burial was in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were members of the Greenwood American Legion.


Francis Hansen was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Clark County, to Harry O. and Alice (nee Wenzel) Hansen.


He received his education at Reseburg School and Thorp High School. He married Elaine Ohnemus April 27, 1954, in Owen. She survives. He farmed in the town of Mead and also worked for Suda Feed Mill, in Willard. He also worked for various cheese factories in the Greenwood area. In 1987, they moved to the city of Greenwood. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Greenwood American Legion, was a Korean War veteran, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.


Survivors include his wife three sons, David Hansen, Greenwood Dennis Hansen, Eau Claire and Douglas Hansen, Willard two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Debra) Ortner, Greenwood and Deidra Hansen, at home one brother, Clifford Hansen, Thorp three sisters, Mrs. Jens (Theora) Jensen, Bloomingdale, Ill. Mrs. Henry (Florence) Ottinger, Chicago Ridge, Ill. and Mrs. Henry (Rosie) Werner, Boulder, Col. and nine grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one daughter, Barbara.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
