MRS. EMMA NEUENFELDT PASSES AWAY


Mrs. Emma Neuenfeldt, nee Popp, was born in Germany, April 15, 1856, she was married to Karl Neuenfeldt in Germany Nov. 21, 1877. They came to America June 16, 1886 and located at Manville, where they lived for five years, after which they came to Marshfield, where she has since resided. Mr. Neuenfeldt passed away Feb. 8, 1920. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Christ Lutheran Ladies Aid Society.


Mrs. Neuenfeldt passed away at her home at Marshfield, at 8:50 o'clock Wednesday morning, Nov. 16, 1938 as the result of old age complications. She had been in poor health for the past five years.


Surviving relatives are two daughters, Miss Anna Neuenfeldt, Chicago; Mrs. Alma Kisten, Marshfield; one son, William F. Neuenfeldt, Greenwood; one sister, Mrs. Anna Gauger, Marshfield; four brothers, Albert and William, living in Germany; and August Popp, Mann; and Gustav Popp, Marshfield; six grandchildren, Miss Florence Kisten, Marshfield; Orville Neuenfeldt, Port Edwards; and Charles, Albert, James and Gerald Neuenfeldt, Greenwood; Clark County. One son, Albert B. Neuenfeldt, passed away at Port Edwards, Aug. 25, 1937. Two sisters, Mrs. Albert Sievert, Auburndale; and Mrs. John Gauger, Marshfield; and one brother, Ferdinand Popp, Marshfield; also preceded her in death.


Services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the home and at 2:00 o'clock in Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. A. Dornfeld officiating. Burial was made at Hillside Cemetery.


The pallbearers were her five grandsons and a great nephew, Robert Gauger of Marshfield.


The esteem with which Mrs. Neuenfeldt was held by friends and neighbors was shown by the beautiful flowers.
