Ruzic, Anna (1884 - 1962)


GREENWOOD--A former Willard resident, Mrs. Matt Ruzic, 78, died Thursday afternoon at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield where she had been a patient since last Thursday when she suffered a stroke. She had been making her home with a daughter in Marshfield.


Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at the Hill Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. The Rev. Mirko Sylvester will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.


Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Sunday afternoon with the general rosary service to be held there at 8 o'clock that evening.


The former Anna Buttvick was born June 17, 1884 in Yugoslavia, and was married there to Matt Ruzic. In 1919 the couple settled in the Willard area. Since the death of her husband on Nov. 30, 1956, she had resided with her children.


She is survived by two sons, Ivan, West Allis; and Vincent, Humbird; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Zora) Macknick, Stevens Point; Mrs. Edward (Frances) Kokaly, Marshfield; and Mrs. Edward (Ann) Mossak, Omro; 14 grandchildren six great-grandchildren, and two brothers, James Buttvick, Springfield, Ill.; and Joseph Buttvick, Detroit, Mich.


A daughter preceded her in death.
